Silence is golden

I built my previous PC from components and installed Linux; I did a good job because it lasted 8 years! This time I'm not in a position to do so, so I was extremely pleased to be able to buy a rock-solid PC with Ubuntu pre-installed. I chose the 45W Intel 4790T and it barely exceeds 10% CPU usage! I did a stress test (video encoding) and managed to hit 83% with the thermal throttling dropping the clock down to 2.7GHz. My 80W heatsink seemed to be warming the air well enough. The whole thing is built like a brick outhouse so seemed unfazed by this. Finally, the only noise is the HDD I use with the SSD; it makes a gentle hissing sound. When the HDD stops, the absolute silence is eerie. Go on, treat yourself
